ShadeAbout Makes Its Surf Expo Debut

Surf Expo 2026 was an incredible first-time exhibiting experience for the ShadeAbout team - and we’re still riding the wave.

From the moment the doors opened, we had nonstop conversations with retailers, buyers, and outdoor enthusiasts who immediately got it: portable shade shouldn’t be bulky, complicated, or an afterthought. It should be easy, fast, and something people actually want to bring along.

Real Conversations, Real Interest

One of the best parts of Surf Expo was connecting face-to-face. Buyers stopped by our booth, watched a quick ShadeAbout setup video, and reacted with comments like:

“Oh wow - this is way easier than a canopy tent.”
“You should go on Shark Tank!”

Those aha moments never get old. Many retailers shared that their customers are actively looking for shade solutions that don’t involve heavy pop-ups, long setup times, or blocked views. ShadeAbout filled that gap perfectly.
