ShadeAbout was inspired by the Florida sun, kids, and sports. It was a Saturday morning kids’ outdoor soccer game to be exact—and it was in the middle of July. In Florida. The trees were too far away to provide shade, and before long, a group of adults huddled around a sliver of shade from a nearby light pole, looking for any relief from the sun. Clearly, the adults got little relief, and the folks who brought umbrellas were blocking the view for everyone.

It was clear: People need personal shade that moves as easily as the sun moves that also wouldn’t ruin everyone’s view.

That’s when we dreamed up ShadeAbout, the unique new portable sun shade everyone needs in the summer. We designed it in Clearwater, Florida, so you know it’s tough enough for Florida sun! It’s not just the easy way to throw shade, it’s the thoughtful way to throw shade, too.
